Saturday Scraplift (No. 76)

This week’s inspiration comes from Janet aka JALong, who has been rocking the gallery lately with some gorgeous pages:

image

Apart from the stunning colors of the Pina kit, what I love about this layout is the way the extraction and stroking of the photo makes it stand out so wonderfully. One of the most stylish and effective extraction layouts I have ever seen.

(If you are an extraction novice there are plenty of tutorials available on the web - or for a wonderfully easy to follow guide try this tutorial by Cassie)

Here’s what Janet’s lovely page inspired:

Fresh Look #6 - Avery in the Fall

Blogging

Where I live the air is getting quite crisp, the leaves are changing color, and pumpkins are starting to show up on doorsteps - it’s FALL!  I thought it would be quite fitting to work on a fresh look for this layout by twischropp (Trudy)

Such sweet pictures and I love the warm fall colors used together here. Let’s see what our team members did with this one…

First up is this sweet page by Mel (aka Britgirl)- I just love the sun/clouds and the half hidden owl!

More beautiful fall colors in this layout by Sarah (shhbabymine) and another adorable little owl - the trees are very funky and cool too smile

Awesome pages and such unique takes on the original - Looking at these makes me want to head to the pumpkin patch this weekend and get some fall pictures to scrap!

Remember, we’ll continue to choose layouts for a fresh look from THIS THREAD, so keep on adding your submissions there.  I’ll be back in a couple of weeks with another Fresh Look!

It’s time for another Terrific Template!

Happy Thursday everyone! I think you all will agree that this week’s template is definitely terrific—

Loved Layered Template No 02

Kari caught this tender moment between brothers - how appropriate for a loved template!
image
She used Mindy’s 100% Boy kit
and Pattie’s Things That Fly Felt.

The soft and delicate colors in Anna’s FloraART Paperie No 10 and Katie’s Laced Love paper pack work beautifully with Heidi’s princess-themed tea-time layout.

image

How precious is Maureen’s layout - such sweetness! I love how she added Art Warehouse Fresh Stickers No 01 and Mindy’s Sweet Words Stamps - the results are just stunning!

image

And finally here’s my layout—my dad just arrived for a visit and my kids were thrilled. I snapped this photo as we arrived home from the airport and I’m so happy to have scrapped it already. I added In the Post brushes-n-stamps , Naturally Krafty paper pack No 04 , Agnione kit by Jesse Edwards and Falling for You by Mindy Teresawa - both coming soon.

I’m looking forward to seeing how you use this template - don’t forget to post in the Template Challenge gallery.

JUST MY TYPE 38

Is it me or are these weeks starting to fly by? I have this feeling I’m going to blink and it will be December before we know it… I hope you’re getting some good Autumn weather so you can capture the very best seasons colour for scrapping!  And of course who needs an excuse to start gathering wintery fonts? Not me that’s for sure…

This weeks challenge – mix n match – no two letters the same font or bought alpha.
I love this kind of look. I think I got into it when I used to paper scrap – always always running out of letters for titles! LOL So can you create a page where no two letters come from the same font or alpha? Take a look at my sample page here
image

See? It’s a good look! If you peek close enough you can see even my date and ‘Hugo’ aren’t made up of the same letters either.  It’s a brilliant excuse to open up all your favourite alphabets at once! I hope you all can take up this challenge, I cant wait to see the pages it inspires. Post them here in the JMT gallery for everyone to see!
