» Just My Numbers… I mean, Type No. 16 «

Soooooo… did I get your attention? *wink* Yes, today is Wednesday and today should be Wendy’s “3 Kits 3 Ways” and not another “typo” challenge! *grin* But, Wendy needed the week off (for some very good reasons, too, by the way!) so I said I’d jump in again! But, with a little twist this week!
Your challenge? Well, I kind of combined “3K3W” and “Just My Type”... so, here’s the deal. This week, I’d like you to use the following on a layout this week:
• (1) patterned paper
• (2) brushes
• (3) fonts (that’s where the typography comes in! LOL)
• (4) elements

image
Can you see the challenge in my layout?
• One sheet of patterned paper
• A “watery” brush and a “swirly” brush = two brushes
• Journaling font, title font (stickers) and the font on Anna’s photo frame = three fonts
• The soccer ball, the staples, the piece of tape and the “joy” card = four embellies
So, are you ready to join in this week? I sure hope so… this was FUN to do! So, join in this week… just remember to post your layout in the gallery! Since Wendy couldn’t be “here”, let’s post all our layouts in the “Three Kits, Three Ways” gallery! Enjoy and have fun!

Friday Round Robin - November!!

Hey everybody…after a very brief and unexpected hiatus last week, we are back with Round Robin #1 for November. If you’re like me, you have about a zillion Halloween shots, and there are only so many Halloween layouts you can do. I decided to use several photos for one layout and journal about how we managed to have fun AND not spend money on costumes. (Yay us!)

Now it’s your turn. Did anything about this layout inspire you? smile Post your version in the Round Robin gallery on DD - and have a great weekend!

Happy Friday!

Boy, today is a blustery one here in Illinois…windy, cloudy, chilly…perfect fall weather - to stay inside and scrap, that is!

This week I asked Stephanie Vetne to contribute the Round Robin layout, inspired by Paula’s from last week. Steph just got a rockin’ new computer (lucky dog!) and still manages to pull together a fabulous layout despite only having a few photos and digi kits on her computer at this point. That is talent, to me!

Play along! Make a layout based on Steph’s and post to the RR gallery! And have a fabulous fall weekend!

Just My Type… No. 13

Welcome to the DD blog challenge for today! Another “Just My Type” challenge… hope you enjoy this one!

This week, we’re back to title work… but not just any ol’ title… FUN titles! Not just fun, clever or creative words in your title… I’m talking about the actual LETTERS you use!

Let’s MIX IT UP this week! Use a mix of different types for your layout: Fonts, brushes or alphabet elements, such as chipboard, epoxy, etc.

image

I used SEVEN different fonts, alphabets to create this one-word title. The mix of fonts gives the layout a playful feel and adds a bit of movement which plays along great with my light-hearted journaling. (Remember: Your font or alphabet choice should always help convey the message, theme and/or tone of your layout!)

*See my layout in the gallery at Designer Digitals to see which fonts and alphabets I used!

So, let’s see how you can MIX IT UP this week! And, remember to post your layouts in the DD “Just My Type” gallery so we all can see the “mixes” this week! smile

World Card Making Day—- COD OCt. 2

Well it looks like Cinderella’s godmother isn’t the only one who can transform a pumpkin into something special. Instead of a magic wand, Merrilee used her pen and tablet to create this innovative card.
