DAILY DOSE CHALLENGE (No. 25)

Can you believe it’s December? It seems like yesterday we were picking out Halloween costumes! All you have to do is take a quick look around to realize that we are in FULL-ON holiday mode. So in keeping with the spirit, we’re pulling inspiration from Katrina’s fun layout on the December 16 page of the Daily Dose of Digital 2009 Calendar and scrapping those wonderful holiday traditions.

Challenge Twenty-five:
Scrap holiday traditions

Do you make a gingerbread house every year? Let your kids open presents on Christmas eve or take a plate of sugar cookies to your neighbors? Do you purchase a new ornament each Christmas or donate your time to serve in a homeless shelter? Whatever your traditions are, we want to see! Now is the time to document them! Once your layout is complete, upload to the Daily Dose of Digital Gallery so we can all be inspired by your creations! I asked three of our talented creative team members to take this challenge. Check out the great results!

DAILY DOSE CHALLENGE (No. 24)

I hope you’re enjoying this wonderful fall season! With two Thanksgiving family gatherings under our belt, we are already relfecting on the wonderment that comes with this lovely holiday. To help celebrate the blessings of this exciting season, we’re kicking off a new Daily Dose Challenge! This week we’re pulling inspiration from Wendy’s GORGEOUS layout on the November 23rd Daily Dose of Digital 2009 Calendar page. I love how Wendy documented her favorite fall scents! What a wonderful memory to capture in our albums. I thought we could expand on this great idea and document not only fall scents, but your favorite fall sights, sounds and (of course) tastes.

Challenge Twenty-Four:
Document favorite fall scents, sights, sounds or tastes

Once your layout is complete, upload to the Daily Dose of Digital Gallery so we can all be inspired by your creations! I asked three of our talented creative team members to take this challenge. Check out how each documented a different sense…each with amazing results!

DAILY DOSE CHALLENGE (No. 22)

There’s nothing like completing a paper layout to make you realize just how good we have it in the digital world! Let’s face it. Digi rocks! And while I could list tons of reasons why I love digital scrapbooking (I would be here all day), I’ll share one of my favorites. It’s the ability to easily adapt a color scheme to fit my photos. Can’t find the right shade of patterned paper? Well, just recolor it! It’s complete creative control at the touch of our fingertips! Did I already mention how good we have it?

To celebrate, we’re highlighting Sarah’s cool layout on the October 29th page of the Daily Dose of Digital 2009 Calendar. Don’t you love this? It’s a perfect example of how you can customize your products and flex your creative muscle at the same time. This will be your mission this week.

Challenge Twenty-Two:
Recolor part of a patterned paper

We want to see the creative and fun ways you can alter products to create one-of-a-kind designs. If you’ve never recolored paper or elements before, no worries. It’s easier than you think! One read through of Cassie’s tutorial, How’d They Do That? No. 4: Selective Recoloring will answer all your questions. She also has written a tutorial on Recoloring Essentials that has fabulous tips and tricks! Once your page is complete, upload to the Daily Dose of Digital Gallery so we can all be inspired by your creations! I asked three of our talented creative team members to take this challenge. Check out the great results!
