friday flickr favrites week 11.

Welcome to a whole new week and round up of our faves from our flickr group!

I’m hoping you have your own favourites too, there will be a post on the DD forums for you to add your choice smile

I’ve been thinking about what makes a good photo great for me. And I’ve decided its a photo that makes you feel as if you are there. Where you stop looking at ‘the picture’ and actually feel as if you have stepped right into the image. Thats what these images I’ve chosen do to me;

Lets start with this one by Mollie, aka readstoomuch/toomanydigishots. She has such a lovely knack of capturing the very best shots and angles. There is always a little piece of home in her pictures too smile

Speaking of home, there are a whole bunch of homes and buildings in my next choice. By Didgiscrapper. What a striking and glorious shot!

160310 Toledo

I adore this shot by Patricia,iuma2, Its like spot colouring, but better! And it has great reflections in, I cant get enough of reflections in pictures.

And finally, there is this cracking shot by Ordinaryeverydayme. I love it. I’m right there with the cat, watching those silly dogs wink

Friday Flickr Favrites! Week #10

Yesterday marked Day 70 for the 365 project! The Flickr group is filled with great inspiration from those 70 days. Congratulations on great work.

My favorites this week have a theme (again).

I love the look, the pop of red, and the great panning by Hezro. A fun and tough technique. Make sure you click on it to see a bigger version.

Mar 10 - Scooter Boy

The pink makes my heart sing in this photo by Christine Denis PHotography. The lines make this so visually appealing.

Little G on the Big Bridge

One of our newest members is kb7496. Her photo is pure sweetness. I love the lighting, the sweet expression, and those sharp eyes. She made a beautiful layout using this photo too.

Another great week. Many wonderful photos! You can still join the DD flickr group if you haven’t, we’d love to see you there.

Share your favorites from the last week in the DesignerDigitals forum.

friday flickr favrites week NINE!

I am running late! Sorry. its still friday where I am tho wink which means its even MORE still friday where most of you are too!

I can never decided on my pictures to post here. Right up til the last minute I change my mind. Sometimes its a certain light, a certain angle, or maybe a theme I’m leaning towards… sometimes its a picture that I know I’d have tried to take myself in their position, or a picture I’d never have thought of and is so clever. And sometimes its all of the above mixed up!!!

I like the grouping of candles in this shot, the colour processing, and the ‘end of a day’ kind of story it tells smile Great shot Minimartha4!

10of365

And as someone who has taken her fair share of patio heater shots {its the flame, draws me in, cant help it…} and got her fair share of those ‘what are you taking pictures of?!’ funny looks, I really like this one too… By Esther.

02 27 party

I’m also a big fan of landscapes. Especially landscapes that arent anything like my local scene… Not to mention this shot has beautiful composition, light, depth… ETC! By debharrigan.

maple ridge

sneaking in one more… look at the faces here smile Just love it smile by our neck of the woods

Friday Flickr Favrites! Week #8

This week we celebrate two years of collecting photos of the day in our flickr group! Together, the group has shared almost 12,000 photos! Selecting a few favorites is not easy! There are so many amazing photos, so much talent, so many parts of our lives captured.

As we get closer to spring in the United States, I’m enjoying seeing more color return to the gallery.

I loved the repetition and line created by Hezro’s photo. The angle she chose to shoot means you have a bit of curiosity about the subject before realizing they are carts.
Feb 21

This photo by Susiecw47 caught my eye immediately. I love the contrast of the cats’ colors, but even more, I love the posing. They could be super models. I’ll admit it, I like their names too!
54/365 Elaine and Mr. Peterman

Sarah(SarahDanyalle)‘s angle in this photo made it a winner for me. Rather than filling the frame with a centered barn, she chose an angle that leaves context. I love context.
02.21.10 POTD

Three just doesn’t seem like enough, so I’m adding this color photo by ourneckofthewoods. I love the beautiful depth of field and there is just something about the tilt of the right hand tulip that makes this photo for me. I would hang this in my bathroom ( a place of honor for photos in my house).
