Hybrid Scrapbooking and More: Simply Stated

Hello everyone, Lisa Pate here. A few weeks ago Laura posted a layout that became an instant favorite of mine. This week I decided to use it as my inspiration for a hybrid project.

The process is simple.  Print your images onto cardstock, cut them to size, and then place them in a frame. This is by far one of my favorite projects to date. I love that this project is personal and can be easily modified as needed in the future. As always we enjoy seeing what you create in the Hybrid Gallery.

Hybrid Scrapbooking & More: home decor

Like most of the world, I’ve been inspired by many different things on Pinterest. Here’s my interpretation of a piece I found there, recording the most important dates for my family. I created an 8x10 canvas and used Katie’s new Lots of Love paper pack for the background. I think this would look really great printed on canvas but I just printed this on photo paper at home and framed it.

Why don’t you try creating some decor for your home using your digital supplies!

A Quick Little Hybrid Project

I saw this fun Post-It-Note holder on Pinterest and thought it was a great little project.  I bought a cheap 5x7 plastic frame at the dollar store.  Then I took one of my favorite scrapbook pages Scrapbook Page
and shrunk the background down to fit the frame, had it printed, and slipped it into the frame.  Next I added the tag and the Post-It-Notes and that was all there was to it. Hopefully, in 2012 our family will do a little bit better at writing down messages for each other.  Hope all of you have a wonderful New Year’s Celebration!  Janet

Hybrid Scrapbooking and More: Christmas Gift Idea

Christmas is almost upon us as usual I’ve been on the lookout for quick and easy gift and decor ideas. For this project I bought a pair of napkins from the dollar store ($1!) and embellished them with some digital elements:

I imported Ali’s Christmas Boxes Brushes and Stamps and Katie’s Christmas Silhouettes Brushes and Stamps No. 01
into my Silhouette SD and cut them the shapes our using Heat Transfer material. I then ironed the shapes onto my napkins. I thought they would be nice to include with some cookies or quick-bread neighbor gifts!

Hybrid Scrapbooking and More: Personalized Gifts

With the holiday season upon us I’ve been trying to think of different ways to personalize gifts. This week I turned to glass etching.

The supplies needed for this project are: a design cut out of vinyl, Armour Etch, paint brush, and a glass mug. After adhering the design to your mug follow the directions on the Armour Etch. I went outside to apply mine and then let it rest for five minutes. Like magic after I washed the mug, all that was left was a perfectly etched design. I love the mug so much I’ve been thinking of other fun things to etch. How fun would monogrammed ornaments be? I hope you have fun creating gifts this holiday season with your digital supplies. As always we love to see your hybrid projects in the Hybird Gallery. Happy creating! Lisa Pate
