Dont store it away, make sure you get it printed into a book, either now or when your next fabulous discount comes along from a book printer. It will make you so happy to see it in print smile
I’ve still got to finish my cover, and I want to add a page of our Christmas songs this year, our Christmas TV viewing and that kind of thing.

So, I am really looking forward to getting back to scrapping more ‘for the sake of it’ pages, after such regulated routine of pages there. BUT…;)
there is always a but right?

Wanted to encourage you forward, with a new project or two, as well. Maybe you didnt do Days of December and are now raring to go on a new project thats more you? Maybe you did do it but are keen to look forward and do something new?
{And, yes, maybe you did do it, and would like me to stop planning new stuff for once? LOL }

Theres a whole bundle of new projects you could try. For starters…

Its a great time to begin your 365 {366 this year} A photo a day, everyday, we’ve got the templates to make it happen!

Or its a perfect time to begin your 52 weeks  One great photo a week, if 365 is too much to think about.

There are these new pocket pages, here and here, by Katie, that work fantastically with a digital ‘life’ project. (It’s more journaling and notes with the photos than just 365}

We also have some great GET FIT motivational scrap supplies like - this journal, and these matching templates, which I am really tempted by myself.

I hope you feel inspired, and keep moving on with your memory keeping. I look forward to sharing more ideas with you very soon!

3 Kits 3 Ways {No.122}

Hello and Happy New Year, everyone!  It is Mollie aka readstoomuch here today . . . I am half of the Merrilee & Mollie 3 Kits 3 Ways Challenge team. This year has flown by so quickly and I for one have had a wonderful time scrapping here at DD!  Katie along with the amazing design team here at Designer Digitals have really outdone their selves by creating dozens and dozens of new products for the store throughout the past year.  I think that we have access to the best selection of digital products anywhere to be found right at the click of our busy mouse!!!

My Christmas has been rather unorganized during the season this year; so I approached this 3K3W challenge rather too late to ask for help with the three layouts using three products.  You are stuck with me for all three ways this time around, I’m afraid!  Actually it was fun to try to use the same three products in three different ways in rapid succession . . . fun and a bit difficult for me too.

Let me show you the three kits that I have chosen . . . I have picked three very versatile products for you to play with today:

Maplebrook Studio’s Chiseled Alpha No. 5 is an extremely versatile alphabet:

The next kit is definitely a Christmas kit . . . and I have used it for two Christmas pages and one that isn’t Christmas at all.  I am totally crazy over the paper pack included in this kit!  The Santa Land Kit was new for Christmas this season:

and, Dating Labels No. 01 is a really nice group of labels to use on most any style of layout:

Here are the three ways in which I have used these kits:

My first layout is about a fun Secret Santa ornament exchange . . . I used the three challenge kits plus Design Your LIfe Template No. 07, In the Kitchen No. 03 Hand Drawn Words & Scallop Strip Masks No. 01.

Second is a double page layout using photographs of our granddaughter playing with some old toys that her mama and uncles played with as children:

My last page is another Christmas page . . . I loved using the Santa Land Kit!  The extras used for this page are:  Ho Ho Holiday Words Brushes and Stamps No. 03, Photo Clusters No. 05 and Stamped Blocks No. 06.

Merrilee and I look forward to seeing your pages posted in the 3Kits 3Ways Gallery.  And, remember that you can use any extra items from the Designer Digitals store that you would like to use for your layouts.  Be sure to look in the 3 Kits 3 Ways Gallery to see these layouts a bit closer too.

You CAN Go Home Again

I hope you don’t mind, but this month’s Heritage Challenge is doing double duty for me! Over three years ago, I started a book of the homes I have lived in throughout my life. Somewhere along the way the book got stalled. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to finally finish my book. So this month’s Heritage Challenge is to scrap “home.” Maybe for you, as it is for me, home is a building or maybe the word home has another meeting for you—a town, a group, the place you work(ed) or even something else.

The word “home” calls forth many memories-memories of people, events, sounds and smells-stories that are waiting to be told. I had a lot to say as I told the story of my homes, so my pages have a lot of journalling. Maybe, like me, your story will be told with words. Or perhaps your story will be told through your pictures. However you choose to do it, I hope you will be inspired to scrap a layout about home.

I hope to soon have my book completed. Here is the latest 2 page addition to my Book of Homes, the first house that my husband and I bought in 1971:

If you are interested, the other pages I have completed for my book can be seen here.

I hope my project has inspired you. However you choose to tell the story of one of the homes of your life, we would love for you to share in our Heritage Gallery! Hopefully my last pages will be there soon too!
