I’m heading out of town this week to see Jack again and to meet his new little brother… just in time to take tons of pictures for 10 Weeks 2 Treasure - Round 2!

I love the elegant and unique works of art created by Lorraine (aka Neat Freak). This one is no exception:

I love the use of the circle motif, and the way the photo is balanced by the descending journaling. Wonderful typography too!

Today we’re spotlighting Speed Byte No. 78 and you can snag it on SALE today too!!

I had a lot of fun mixing this one up!

I didn’t use all the elements in my Growing Up page and I moved them around a bit too. That’s the great thing about templates, you don’t have to use every part of them. You should use them as a jumping off point. They give you the quick fire you need to get scrapping and still have complete freedom with your page!

And you know this was such an awesome template because I had SIX team members volunteer for this one!

Our Guest CT Member, Sam Ellis played along with her fun take on the template with a fabulous soccer page!

And Cassie’s Day at the Park does not disappoint! It seems like you’re right there with Jack at the park!

This little one is so precious, I just love Mollie’s sweet page!

Jodi did a fantastic job showcasing her children where you can feel the summer heat with the sun she added in her summer scene page!

Sarah’s take on it was another sports theme but this time baseball with an awesome page of her son!

And last but certainly not least is a beautiful floral page by Merrilee!

Looking at all these pages you’d never know they used the same template. Each was inspired in their own way and made it their own—can’t wait to see what you do with this one! Be sure to post in the Template Challenge gallery so we can all be inspired together!

Hello everyone from the M & M duo of Mollie and Merrilee!

It’s the same challenge, just two new coordinators. Wendy McKeehan, (aka wendymyk), is the original creator of the 3 Kits 3 Ways Challenge and has presided over this spot in the blog for 31 very interesting challenges. Now, it is going to take two of us to take over for Wendy! (Never fear, Wendy isn’t going anywhere! It’s just time for us to take our turn. Thank you, Wendy, for your leadership and inspiration all these months!)

Mollie (aka readstoomuch) and I (aka digigrandma) will work together to post a new challenge every other week in this Wednesday spot.  First, we’ll challenge three Creative Team Members to create layouts using the 3 different kits we choose from the Designer Digitals Store. We’d like you to join in on the challenge, too. All that is required is to use the 3 highlighted products on your layout. You may add any other Designer Digital products if you choose to do so.

Here’s our 3 chosen products:
Kellie Mize designed a beautiful kit with lovely papers for summer and early fall layouts. The kit has a distinctive striped alpha, 2 journal blocks, flower brads, ribbons and a lovely quote. She aptly named her kit, Pacific Point, after the beautiful west coast of the USA.

This week over on the IdeaBooks4u Blog we’re playing with complementary colors and using a tip from Kari Hansen, author of “The Scrapbook Designer’s Workbook.”  Complementary colors, such as blue and orange or purple and yellow, reside directly across from each other on the wheel:

Hansen says, “Choose one color to be dominant.  Because of the high contrast, it can confuse the eye if the two complementary colors are shown in equal measure.”

I love this page!  Jess started with the complementary colors in his shirt and created a fantastic page with an adorable theme.
