Get it together for Christmas No. 06!

How are your preparations for Christmas going? smile I’m sure I’m one step forward two steps back at this part of December…
The more I do, the more I seem to remember I need to do…
I have a great idea for a banner I need to get cracking with. And still yet more gift tags are needed!

In this week’s post, I want to point out lots of things we’ve got right here in the store to make the season easier for you!

Are you gift buying still? If you’ve gifts left to buy, dont forget what’s in store.

How about starting someone on their journey of digital scrapbooking?
Cassie makes the best tutorials, every single one is jam packed full of top tips you never knew! And this one

..is the perfect place to start!

If youre buying for a fellow scrapper, the store has gift certificates. and they are a great idea for YOU too. Let husbands without a clue Santa know! wink

What about all those busy cameras on Christmas day?
Make sure they get it all in focus by guiding them towards Katrina’s awesome how-did-we-do-without-it book; Get me off auto.

And if they arent the least bit creative, or have all of that sorted, how about creating a travel mug just for them?
Pattie makes the best tumbler bytes templates; just the right size to slip in one of the customisable travel mugs you can get. I want one!

If you have your gifts and just need a hand wrapping, there are fab pillow box templates available. You could get seriously creative with the outside of those!

Not forgetting the numerous gift tags you’ll need. Like Mindy’s cute cute cute ones,  Ali’s gorgeous circles, and my favourite vintage look ones, x 2 by Katie.

Should you be running late with your cards there are also simple card templates, like Lynn’s here. Slip in the photo and ta-da! done and dusted smile
Anna even has brilliant letter templates x2  for you. So sharing your familys newsletter need never -ever- involve bad clipart again wink

Take time out from your busy season and peruse our Days of December gallery. Its rocking, its diverse and its just lovely lovely lovely.
If Christmas isnt your season, if you dont celebrate, or you celebrate it some other way, then be sure to share that with us too.  The Days of December gallery is just that - days in december, however you do them, what ever youre doing.

I look forward to lots more Christmas preparation with you next week smile

Itunes inspiration, No. 55!

Some time ago I was sent this weeks starting point, by our very own Katrina. Going through my folder of possible iTunes challenges it caught my eye all over again! A break from the glitter and OTT-ness of the usual December pages maybe just what we need! Excellent choice Katrina smile DONT forget if YOU have any ideas for challenges you can send them to me via a PM, I am always grateful for ideas.

Love the softness and the blending going on here. Plus take centre stage type is always a great touch!

Here is my page, of my teen boy. He’s not that keen on photos being taken - but I dont let that stop me wink

Already looking forward to a gallery of soft blended pages smile Please post yours here, in the iTunes gallery.

3 Kits 3 Ways No. 93

No matter what kind of weather you’re experiencing where you live, I hope you’re finding time to scrap your favorite photos this month. I chose kits by Michelle Martin, Pattie Knox and Jesse Edwards that I think are versatile and fun to use together to showcase special photos. I asked three of the Creative Team members to create layouts with the kits, and, wow, they came up with terrific examples to inspire you! Our challenge to you is to use these three kits, too. It’s fun to see the different interpretations using the three kits in the 3 Kits Gallery. Remember, the 3 kits featured for this week’s challenge are marked down today so you can snap them up at a bargain price if you don’t already own them and would like to join in on the challenge by posting your own layout in the 3 Kits Gallery

Noel Solids Paper Pack by Michelle Martin

Glitzy Chips: Christmas Alphabet No. 02 by Pattie Knox

Ribbon Strips by Jesse Edwards

Layout by Aino
Aino, who lives in Israel, used dear, sweet and fun photos of her family celebrating Hanukkah for her example layout. She created a warm, friendly feeling and the glitzy alphas indicate this is a special occasion in their home.

Additional items used by Aino include Layered Memories No. 118, Love You Mini Epoxy Circles and Goodness Paper Pack coming soon to the Designer Digitals Store.

Layout by Debi (aka beehive50)
Debi is a California, USA girl. With this layout, she makes sure her daughter’s soccer achievements are recognized and recorded. Don’t those glittery red numerals work well for her title? The numerals are the jersey numbers of each of the girls: 6, 23, 17 and 14! Clever and eye catching!

That little soccer ball element is from Little Enamel Accents: Sports

Layout by Janet (aka JALong)
Janet is a busy mom living in Idaho, USA. Her layout features her two very pretty, youngest daughters and a Christmas theme. Those glitzy alphas certainly look right at home on her page, too, don’t they? I love to study every detail on Janet’s page because it all works together so cohesively.

Some of Janet’s additional kits include Little Bits Alphabet: Red No. 02, Little Bits Alphabet: Red, Hand Drawn Holiday Brushes and Stamps

Thank you, Aino, Debi and Janet. I think everyone is going to love seeing your outstanding layouts on the blog and in the 3 Kits Gallery.
