Saturday Scraplift #134

Happy New Year to you all! This is Aino stepping in for Lynn for this week’s Saturday Scraplift challenge. And I chose a very sweet page to lift this week, by JenniferH97. It is such a cute page! Not only is the photo darling, but the design of the page complements the photo perfectly. I love the clustering of elements in the corner and the bright red contrasting with the gentle colors of the background paper. It is a simple page with a lot of delicate design elements to look at and enjoy.

Digigrandma/Merrilee created a beautiful lift with this sweet photo. I adore the subtle colors and the gorgeous brushwork.

Credits: Digigrandma used among other products - Anna Aspnes’ Xmas FotoBlendz Clipping Masks No. 03, Soft and Snow Paper Pack and Winter Reverie Paper Pack by Jesse Edwards, by Katie Pertiet Mixed Bag Brushes and Stamps No. 03, Yuletide Clusters Brushes and Stamps, and Fairy Dust Rub Ons, and by Lynn Grieveson Night Magic Kit

And Myra picked up on the layering of elements behind and next to the photo. Isn’t that the funniest little conversation you have “overheard” in a long time?

image

Credits: Myra used Pattie Knox’s Pattie’s Actions: Duotones, Lynn Grieveson’s Sock Monkey Kit, Katie Pertiet’s Love Tickets, Postage Frame Super Pack and by Anna Aspnes Stitched by Anna Red No. 01.

And I decided to go for a pretty close lift this time. I found an *old* photo of Maya when she was seven days old…

image

Credits: I have used some new products from Katie Pertiet coming this weekend- Pure kit, Around words no4 and Spot dots no18 paper pack, Ali Edwards’ Love Epoxy elements also coming soon. And among other items, I also used Pattie Knox’s DIY Sticker Alphabet No. 02 and Anna Aspnes’ Light Textured Neutrals Paperie No. 01 .

I hope you will all find inspiration in this weekend’s sweet page to lift - and upload in the Saturday Scraplift Gallery!

-Aino.

Looking Back / Looking Ahead

It’s that time of year for reflecting and for projecting. It’s time for looking back over the year and making assessments, but it’s also time for looking ahead to the coming year and making plans. I was drawn to Pattie’s Speed Byte No. 074 because of lots of spots for pictures, paper, and journaling. This versatile design has so many possibilities!

Aino’s (Aino) page is a reflection on the joys and sorrows of the past year, filled with sweet pictures of her family. Her great color scheme immediately pulls in the viewer, and I love the visual triangle of the red squares.

Bonnie (bjwtville) reduced the size of the template and modified some of the spaces to include a large photo of the lovely holiday table. Her photos and choice of papers complete her beautiful Christmas page.

I also reduced the size of the template slightly to include a neutral background, and I used the template to do a brief year in review. The design was perfect to include a photo from each month.
