A fab take on a visual triangle layout design: SaturdayScraplift No.209
This weeks inspiration comes again from the stunning gallery of Nath, who has a fabulous eye for the marvellously messy yet always perfectly designed scrapbook page:
The use of color is, as always, wonderful and I love how the patterned paper is used in this great page. On the sides it adds so much interest yet is not overpowering at all. And the choice of the “Textured Covers” as background is perfect, because a textured paper like this is neutral yet still can hold it’s own against the adjacent patterned paper and makes for less of a stark contrast than a plain background paper would. All this means that, despite all the wonderful layering and detail, the focus is never distracted away from the photos which the design ensures are the centre of attention.
If you look at the page you will see that it is a triangular design, flipped on its side if you like. This is always a great choice for the framework of a page design, and this is a brilliant example. The use of transparent elements and alpha also help to “declutter” the design and keep the triangle clean, while still adding lots of interest.
