Heritage Challenge No 7

“All my bags are packed I’m ready to go…”

“Come away with me, Lucille, in my merry Oldsmobile…”

“I’d love to get you on a slow boat to China…”

“Pardon me, boys, is that the Chattanooga Choo Choo?”

Do these song lyrics get you in the mood to scrap some of your photos of vintage forms of transportation? Photos of cars, trains, planes, boats, even buses, trucks, bikes and motorcycles can make interesting and fun subjects for vintage scrapbook layouts. It’s often easy to ascertain the exact dates these photos were taken because of the specific subject matter.

Three members of our Creative Team were inspired to create layouts based on photos of transportation from years gone by. Please enjoy these great layouts by Wendy, Anna and our Fearless Leader AKA Katie! I’d like to thank them for their terrific examples for this challenge.

Wendy’s layout of her grandfather and the vintage cars he used to sell contains both awesome photos and terrific journaling!

Wendy used Anna’s Aged Perfection Paper Pack in her layout.

Anna’s layout contains a photo of her father and uncle on an awesome motorcycle! The details she has included about her family and motorcycles are terrific!

Anna used Katie’s My Family Genealogy Clippings No. 01 and Stamped Stitches Brushes and Stamps and her own ArtPlay No 6 (love the black and white!) for her layout.

I was thrilled when Randy volunteered Katie to scrap these photos of his father, the race car driver, and even more thrilled when I saw Katie’s great layout! Check out the “wild” shirts on these drivers!

Katie used the following products in her layout:
paper from Fabulous Fifties Pack
caution racing sign extracted from the papers using LIAO 14
Vintage Frames No. 7
Vintage Frames No. 15
car epoxy from Whimsy Words No. 2
Messy Stamped Alpha 3
Messed Up Overlays 2
Watery Spots Brushes
Times Up No. 2

I’ll be eagerly looking for your vintage transportation layouts in the Heritage Gallery! Have fun!
