Heritage Challenge #3
I’m the third member of the Steph, Mollie, Lynnie Heritage Challenge team and this is my first time to post a challenge to the blog. I hope it goes according to plan, I’m a little nervous!
I’ve been in the process of making an album of all the homes I’ve lived in in my life. I just seem to be having a problem getting it finished, so I chose a challenge that I hope will help me get done. This challenge is about HOMES. The word “home” brings so many wonderful words to mind: love, security, warmth, fun, family, tradition, to name a few. For the next heritage challenge, the challenge will be to scrap a home-your home, your grandparent’s home, a home you remember from your childhood or a home you’ve only heard about! Tell what that home means (or meant) to those who lived or visited there!
Here’s what three of our creative CT members came up with to give you inspiration for this challenge!
Debi chose two photos of her childhood home for her layout-one from when her family moved in in 1959 and one from today, because her parents still live there! For her wonderful layout, Debi used the following DD products:
Stitching Holes: Rounded Corner Stitching Holes brushes and stamps
Photo Mask: Rounded Corner Clipping Masks Brushes
Sticker Tape: Postage Strip Words No 01
Template: Remember This 2 Page Layered Template
Paper, Background: Muted Colors Textured Paperie No 01
Paper, Patterned: Olan paper pack
Alpha: Tatty Alphabet
Heart: Have a Heart Felt
Tree: Felt Board Friends: Tweethearts
Pin: Pin-Its
Staples: Staple Its! No 02
Brads: Fuzzy Brads
Mo found an old ad that inspired her to create this layout about her childhood home. For her charming layout, Mo used the following products:
Candles and Cake Papers by Art Warehouse
Grungy Spring by Gretchen Thomas
Ally Oop Alpha by Lynn Grieveson
Button Borders by MaryAnne Wise
Folded Ribbon Bits No. 3 by Pattie Knox
Homeage by Anna Aspnes
Linda’s layout is also about her childhood home. She has used a collection of adorable photos from her growing up years in her layout. For her heritage layout, Linda used these products:
Rounded Corner Clipping Masks Brushes
Vintage Sun Prints paper pack
Meadow Ridge kit (berry paper and staple)
Scripted Type brushes-n-stamps
Stamped Stitched Hearts brushes and stamps No 01
Crumpled Paper Flowers No 02
Moss Scape paper pack (brown dotted paper)
All Natural kit No 02 (glitter brad)
CurvyCorner Stitched Blocks No 02
I also have a few pages of my Homes Album here.
We hope to see lots of layouts of special homes in your life posted in the Heritage Gallery!
