Just My Type - July 2011

The Just my Type challenge is something I love to do. All month I see examples and place them into a folder for inspiration later on.  I think that a well structured title on a page is the attention grabber. Erm that and a few photos. Ermm those and all the great products our designers produce for us each week.

This inspiration got many of the Creative Team a-buzz with ideas and I have loads of examples to show you. Isn’t it great how one simple title can make us all think so differently.

First up is Merilee’s beautiful quotation.  Nothing beats a great quote and I really like how Mer has made this stand by making it up front and centre.

Then onto Mollie’s awesome layout. The great photo is one all of us have seen but perhaps never photographed. These are the simple things in life that we often overlook! The touch of autumn colours adds to this whole layout.

Fonts used are Franklin Gothic Book & Daisy Wheel (from one of britgirl aka Mel’s new layouts).

I love that in comparison to the rainy day layout we have some sunshine too. Shows how we are a great balanced team hey !  Doris’s sweet layout simply made me smile. The use of fonts and brushes completes this happy page.

And then Lori’s sweet layout reflects how positive and happy we can feel.
I really love the background papers and the cut-out clouds. To round it off Lori’s two beautiful daughters makes this one great layout.

And finally my version of this layout.  I recently spent some time down in Cape Town and one of my favorite things at the beach is the seagulls. They always make me stop and watch them for a while.
