Photos Plus White Space

One principle of good design is to provide a place for the eye to rest as it moves through a picture, scrapbook page, or any other piece of art. This week’s template choice – Katie’s Filmed Layered Template No. 2 – does just that.

There’s room for several photos and plenty of white space to prevent tired eyes. Take a look at how some of the Creative Team members used this fun template.

Mel (Britgirl) changed the position of the template and used the white space to include another gorgeous photo of the British countryside:

Amy (AmyL) moved the template to the right and recolored some of the filmstrip frames:

PageSet, Baby Pink Patterns + Solids Paper, Wood Type Alphabet, Cherry Festival Kit, Smoothie Shop Paper Pack, Bright Days Paper Pack.

Traditional thinker that I am, I left the template in place but used a swirling, dotted paper to draw the eye in to the photos:

Katie’s template is one of today’s Thrifty Thursday specials, so I hope you’ll add it to your stash and play along. When your page is complete, post it in the Template Challenge Gallery so we can leave you some love.
