Project Life at Designer Digitals

Designer Digitals is excited to announce a new Project Life series on the blog and in the galleries. We have put together a team of 5 members of the DD creative team who will be bringing you ideas and inspiration every other week - look for our blog posts every other Tuesday - and we hope you take some time to wander through the Project Life gallery. If you have any questions, we have a Project Life thread in the forums, too, so feel free to ask away and get involved!

To start the series, let me introduce myself (Steph) as the first member of the Project Life Team. (Picture me waving wildly at you!)

I am doing Project Life as a hybrid project. It’s the only paper scrapping project I’m doing and I’m using paper for one main reason - I want my kids and husband to be as involved as possible. I don’t want this scrapping project to be “Project Mommy.” I want it to be OUR life and I want the kids to print out the photos they take and to be involved with journaling. Working with paper just makes this easier.

Here’s my layout from week 4 as an example of my two-page spreads.

I’m using the Project Life Clementine Core Kit with a couple of different page protector designs but my favorites are Design A & Design F. Instead of using the journaling cards that came with the kit, though, I make a lot of my own using Designer Digital’s products. For example, my weekly title card is simply Katie Pertiet’s In Text Paper Pack No. 01 reduced to fit on a 4 x 6 blank page with the weekly title from Cathy Zielske’s 52 Weeks No. 1 templates. Most of my inserts are 6 x 12 digital pages - I love using Ali Edwards’ Long Journalers Value Pack, Long Journalers Value Pack No. 2 and her 6 x 12 Layered Templates.

Here’s a closer look at my pages and inserts for week 4. While I do take some photos with my big camera, most of my everyday photos are taken with my iPhone.

You can see my entire supply list here in the Project Life Gallery. Look for new blog posts every day this week as the other members of the Project Life team introduce themselves. And we can’t wait to see how your Project Life layouts!
