Scraplifting inspiration from the Designer Digitals Gallery
Saturday Scraplift No. 139
I couldn’t take my eyes off this week’s inspiration layout by Carolleewhen I saw it in the gallery:
It is actually part of a two page spread, and here is the other side, which is equally gorgeous:
It’s a great example of the cross-pollination of ideas here at DD. Carollee was inspired and helped by cderousseau, whose gallery you really must check out. She has an incredible artistic eye and her heritage layouts especially are amazing. A lot of them feature the same neutral, almost desaturated palette with small elements on a white background which gives a very timeless, elegant but eye-catching effect. I think Carollee really made this layout her own though, and I was especially taken with her wonderful use of typography and the way she used the artstrokes brushes to join the photos so they weren’t left floating and disconnected.
