Scraplifting inspiration from the Designer Digitals Gallery
Saturday Scraplift no. 123
One thing I love about digital scrapbooking is that you can go for a clean, graphic look but you also don’t have to sacrifice the pleasure of creating a soft, layered page with a handmade look for when the photos call for it. This stunning photo by echogirl (aka Doris) certainly called for a layout that was delicate and gorgeous and that’s exactly what Doris created:
There is a wealth of supplies to help you achieve a realistic worn, soft look. Here Doris used some of my worn page edges, as well as the wonderfully textured Colbie solids by Michelle Martin for added realism.
The soft colors and delicate elements suit the photo perfectly. It’s really a prefect example of taking your design cue from your photos.
It was also a wonderful inspiration for Mel and Myra (and no doubt many others in the Saturday Scraplift gallery.
