Tasty inspiration from the Designer Digitals Gallery

Saturday Scraplift No.158

Someone whose layouts always make me smile is Bill (aka Dr Nike). Truth be told, the DD team are all a little jealous of his wife. He not only scrapbooks - he cooks as well, as this week’s inspiration page shows:

It’s a wonderful use of Anna’s ArtplayPaletteBBQ, combined with Katie’s MetalTypeCastAlpha. Notice how the grey of the alpha draws your attention to the focal photo and works perfectly with it, by echoing the color of Bill’s T-shirt. (Love the fun title words too). Two photo layout designs can sometimes be hard to pull off, but here Bill has filled the space between the photos with the paint and the title - effectly joining the two photos in one cohesive unit and avoiding the “floating photo” phenomena! Best of all, Bill scrapbooks from the heart and focuses on everyday family pleasures and that is why we always smile when we see a new page of his in the gallery.
