iTunes Inspiration No. 7

We are back in the groove this week with album cover art that will make you get up and dance, or at the very least get you to scrap!  I dig the split composition of this Outkast CD.

Take Photo Tips from the Pros

Wouldn’t you love to know the secrets that professional photographers use to make their photos so, well, professional?  In “The Digital Photography Book Volume 2”, Photoshop guru Scott Kelby puts his goofy sense of humor aside for a few pages and delivers two helpful tidbits to make your photos more interesting and professional looking.  The first tip is to turn your camera at a slight angle and put your subject’s head in the corner of the frame.  Katrina Kennedy put this technique into action and ended up with this cool photo of her cute little boy (do any other moms out there get the “no more photos hand?):

image

The second tip Kelby gives is to crop off the top of your subject’s head. Sounds weird, but it forces you to fill your frame with the subject’s face and the result is terrific.  Check out this photo of Wendy McKeehan’s Michigan State Spartan fan (her daughter).  She is so cute and you have to love the close-up:

Want to learn a little bit more about these techniques?  Check out the IdeaBooks4u blog.  Grab your camera, turn and twist it, move in close and post your page in the IdeaBooks4u Inspiration gallery at Designer Digitals.
