Saturday Scraplift (No. 78)

This lovely, clean page by Denise Gormish is so eye-catching that I just had to use it for the Saturday Scraplift.

Denise’s typography and the way she tied the design together are so satisfying to the eye. And, even though it is such a simple page, there is a wealth of inspiration here. You could lift her page as is - or use it as the jumping off point for a more elaborate page. Here’s what happened when Katrina, Debi and Billie lifted Denise’s layout:

3kits 3ways Challenge No. 38

Boo!
Oh, please, don’t get scared off! We’ve got treats for you in the form of 3 inspiring layouts created by CT members, Lynn, Janet and Debbie. Mollie and I hope you’ll join in the 3Kits 3Ways Challenge this week, too. The trick is to use the 3 products I’ve chosen from the Designer Digitals store to create your page.
How about this cute kit by Katie Pertiet for getting in the mood to scrap your Halloween photos?

Your layout will be very eye catching if you add Pattie Knox’s Felt Board Friends!

To give added dimension and realism to your layers I’m suggesting Anna Aspnes’s Torn n Tattered Paper Templates.
Torn-n-Tattered Templates

Here’s how Lynn, Janet and Debbie met the challenge:
Lynn’s Page is called Mr. and Mrs. Weber. Of course, this cute couple loves WEBS! Get it? So clever! Note the cool spider webs on the page.

In addition to the 3 products Lynn used Grunge Overlays, and Digital Stitches-Orange by Katie Pertiet; Spooked Paper by Jesse Edwards andFelt Board Friends: Happy Haunting and Happy Haunting Felt Alphabet by Pattie Knox. She also used Speedbyte No. 120 coming to the store on Sunday.

Janet’s page is called Big and Small Pumpkins.  Janet takes pumpkin carving to a whole new level of creativity! No wonder her kids think she’s a cool mom! Note how she used the torn n tattered template on her photo.

Debbie’s page is called Pumpkin Time.  Don’t you love the way she uses patterned paper and multiple photos? Debbie always has special title art, too.

Debbie also used, Stitched by Anna White, Sketchy MultiFoto Frames No. 01 and 12 x 12 Distressed Edge Overlay No. 05 by Anna Aspnes; and Between the Lines Alphabet by Katie Pertiet.

How’s that for exciting inspiration? Now, it’s your turn. Please post your layouts for this challenge in the 3 Kits 3 Ways Gallery. Mollie and I will add our examples, too.

10 weeks 2 Treasure - Round 2 week 9!!

It’s time to wrap it up and before you know it you’re going to have another amazing photobook to treasure!! We’re on the last regular 2-page spread for the ‘Posted’ book! Next week I’ll have a completer pack with a cover, spine, back cover and title and ending pages for you!

This week we’re using Create-a-Book Posted No. 9

I did a shared spread with Jack & Jason for my pages. Moved things around a little bit to make it work for my pictures and you can do that too. You shouldn’t feel confined by the template, use it as a starting point! I even ‘cut’ a larger opening out of the multiphoto postage stamp frame to accommodate my nieces with Jack!

Layout details here and here!

Keep up the great work and be sure to check out the great inspiration in the 10 Weeks 2 Treasure Gallery!

See you next week for our wrap-up and announcement about the start of my new Create-a-Book Speed Challenge! smile
