Hello folks! Whatever you’re scrapping these days, I bet you have favorite papers and elements you find you use over and over. For the 3Kits 3Ways challenge this week, I’m featuring 3 of my favorite basic kits from the Designer Digitals Store. These are the kits I would want to have with me if I was stranded on a desert Island with only my computer and a folder of basics on my hard drive. I bet these products might already be in your stash, so, please join in on the challenge by using the 3 products I chose plus any other of your favorite papers and elements you’d like to add. To inspire you, I asked 3 of the CT to create example layouts for the blog. For our second challenge, we’ll be taking inspiration from Wendy McKeehan’s beautiful layout on the Daily Dose of Digital January 19 calendar page. We want to see how you can incorporate text directly on your photos. It can be journaling, titles, word art or any kind of text brush. Get creative then post your layouts to the Daily Dose of Digital Gallery.

It’s week 2 of round 3 of Ten Weeks to Treasure! Have you gotten started? We’re putting together a two-page spread each week so at the end of 10 weeks we will have completed a complete album ready to be printed into a Shutterfly Photobook! It’s not too late to join in!
This week, we’re using Hugs & Kisses Layered Template No. 2
And I’ve been continuing on my book from our latest visit with our granddaughter, Emi. I’ve been using Dave’s Midnight sepia action on the large photos and desaturating them a bit too. I’m also using the filmstrip frames as a clipping mask and clipping them to pale pink paper to help soften my pages a bit. I debated about how to carry through a consistent theme through my book and decided I would use the Little Princess Collection and clip the papers to various shapes for variety. The first spread they were clipped to ric rac and for this one I clipped the papers to Graphic Pop Krafty Cuts flowers!
