Saturday Scraplift (No. 91)

Did you see this gorgeous layout by Dorah:

image

The handmade, homespun look is perfect for the subject, and those colors look beautiful combined with black and white photos. Did you notice how grounded the photos were, because of the way they overlap and are contained by the ribbon going down the page beside them?

Lots of inspiration here ready to be lifted, as Sarah, Janet and Margarete found out (and I love how very different all three of their layouts turned out!)

Its a film sound track CD from the movie ‘He’s just not that into you’

and heres what we came up with!

Lynnie used it as a great reason to gather all her cute cookie eating photos on one adorable layout smile

Sarah created this fabulous layout of her son, even using a similar and oh so clever title

10 Weeks 2 Treasure - Halfway Point!

It’s week 5 and we’re halfway through making our new Hugs & Kisses Photobooks!!

This week we’re using Hugs & Kisses Layered Templates No. 5
with options for lots of photos on this spread!

On my pages I used some of the places for photos for patterned papers instead and continued using Dave’s Midnight Sepia Action too, desaturating the results!

Layout details here and here!

Remember to post your pages to the 10 Weeks 2 Treasure Gallery so we can all follow along!

Saturday Scraplift (No. 90)

This sweet layout by Deanie has somuch inspiration waiting to be lifted:

image

I love how the soft background makes “Elmo’s” red fur pop. Try this technique if you have bright and colorful pictures - instead of going for a bright background which could compete with the photos, go for a soft contrasting shade.

It’s a lovely design too - notice how the title along the side of the main photo balances the smaller photo on the other side, and the cluster of horizontal elements underneath ties it all together.

Here’s how Kari, Jodi and Kirsty were inspired:
