3 Kits 3 Ways { challenge 47 }

Hi girls!  It is Mollie this week from the M & M duo of Merrilee & Mollie heading up the 3 Kits 3 Ways challenge on the Designer Details Blog.  I am delighted to show you the three ways in which Creative Team members Kathie {Kathie02}, Sam {sam ellis} and I have used these three kits from the Designer Digitals shop.

For those of you who may be new to this challenge, here it is in a nutshell. Merrilee & I will post a challenge for you on the DD blog every second week, and we will choose three kits from the store that three members of the Creative Team use in three different ways. For your layouts use the three kits along with any extra DD products from the shop that you wish. We love showing you how versatile the kits can be, and we hope that you will join in on the fun!

Before you see the “3 Ways”, take a look at the “3 Kits”.

And, now for the best part . . . our 3 Ways layouts:

“Celebrate” is from our talented { Kathie 02 }. We all think of Buddy as part of the family around here at Designer Digitals, and I love that he it hitting the blog this week!

Kathie used these other products from the DD store:  Katie’s Hearts Alphabet Brushes and Stamps, Lynn’s Worn Paper Edges and Jesse’s Clean and Serene No. 02 Paper Pack to complete her page.

Now, just look who is the new dog on the block!  Sam { sam ellis } introduced us to her new pup, British this year and has created this layout named, I Adore U.  British may be a youngster, but he certainly can hold his own on the blog today, can’t he?  You just have to smile when you look at this face!

Sam has used these “extras” for her layout:  Lynn’s Worn Frame Edges,  Katie’s Joulunaika Paper Pack & Katie’s Vintage Journals No. 02.

I {readstoomuch} am using the three challenge kits and a few extras, today in my layout called “ENJOY”.  I loved using Pattie’s kit for a layout about our grandson rather than for our dog, and I think that it is just perfect for little boys too!

My additional items are:  Katie’s Shaped Notebook Journalers, Katie’s Spot On Titles-Rub-Ons, Pattie’s Staple Its & Katie’s Tagged Monograms~Red {coming soon}.

I hope that you will enjoy working with these kits as much as we have.  Merrilee and I look forward to seeing your pages posted in the 3Kits 3Ways Gallery.  And, remember that you can use any extra items from the Designer Digitals store that you would like to use for your layouts.  Be sure to check out the 3 Kits 3 Ways Challenge Gallery to see these layouts a bit closer too.

DAILY DOSE CHALLENGE (No. 5)

Hey everyone! It’s Monday and that means a brand spanking new Daily Dose challenge! I’m so excited this week because we are pulling inspiration from the March 10th calendar page and the brilliance that is Cassie Jones! Her layout absolutely cracked me up! (If you haven’t yet bought this calendar, buying it just to see Cassie’s layout would be *so* worth it! lol.) Aside from the hilarious photos and clever layout, I loved the way she highlighted key words in her journaling with a different font. So this week your mission is just that.

Challenge Five:
Mix Up Your Journaling Fonts

Get creative with multiple fonts in your journaling and post your layouts in the Daily Dose of Digital Gallery. If you’re looking for inspiration to get you started, look no further! Here three of our creative team members gave the challenge a go and the results are fabulous!

10 Weeks 2 Treasure - week #8

Welcome to week 8 of Ten Weeks 2 Treasure!
We’re doubling up this week with last week. All the craziness from the sale weekend had me a bit behind, but I’m getting caught up now!

So, are you with me? Only two more weeks and we’ll have our finished photobooks—how cool is that?!

So grab your Hugs & Kisses Templates and let’s get going!

Today I’m sharing my pages from sets 7 & 8

And I’m carrying the same, consistent look through my book by using Dave’s midnight sepia action and desaturatng the lower layer for a dreamy look to the large photo and using clipping masks with the Little Princess Kit papers for some added interest! You can get some tips on clipping masks in our knowledgebase!

Layout details here and here

Be sure to share your pages in the 10 weeks 2 treasure gallery so we can follow along!

MeEmMom‘s pages are precious

and Patricia‘s book of her twins is so soft and sweet!

Show us what you’ve been doing! And we’ll see you again next week!
