Welcome to a new week! We’re kicking it off with a super fun Daily Dose challenge! This week we’re pulling inspiration from Kayleigh’s gorgeous layout on the August 21st Daily Dose Calendar page and challenging you to use overlays on your photos.
Challenge Eighteen:
Use an overlay on a photo
There are tons of photo overlays in the DD store to choose from! Or if you’re feeling creative, try making your own! Use a patterned paper and play with the blending and opacity to create a custom design. Or try combining different brushes for a unique (and all your own) overlay. Once your layout is complete, upload to the Daily Dose of Digital Gallery so we can all be inspired by your creations!
Need a jump start? No problem! Check out how three of our talented creative team members took on this challenge.

With the recent loss of my Uncle I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on my family tree and history. Thinking of the stories that I’ve been told and more importantly what I’ve missed now that he is gone. It is never too late to sit down with your parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts to get the family stories or to find out “who” that is in the old photos.
And to help scrap those memories, Katie has new products this week for her Genealogy series.
And here is a great layout that Patricia did with some of these items:
Congratulations to GoingtotheSun. Her layout The Hungry Caterpillar has been selected as the featured layout of the week where she won a $ 5 DesignerDigitals Gift Certificate for product of her choice!
