Ready for one more challenge in September? Before we turn the calendar page to October, get inspired by Creative Team members, Lynnie, Julie and Anke who used the 3 kits chosen for the challenge in three unique ways. I hope you’ll want to use Katie Pertiet’s Photo Keepers No. 01, Pattie Knox’s Jewels Alpha and Anna Aspnes’ Torn Foto Frames to create a scrapbook page of your own. The rules for the challenge are simple: create a page using the 3 challenge kits, plus any other products from the Designer Digitals store you wish to add, and, post in the 3 Kits 3 Ways Gallery.

Mollie and I alternate choosing the kits for the challenge. We choose kits we think you would find useful to add to your digital designs stash. Then, Katie and Randy help us out by putting the 3 kits on special, so, check it out under specials in the Designer Digitals store.

Lynn Weber (aka Grandma Lynnie) used the photo keeper to cleverly display her grandson’s school photos starting out with his kindergarten photo. Isn’t it fun to see the progression from kindergarten to high school all on one page? Using Anna’s torn photo edge added nice variety to the photo frames. Lynn’s additional products include, Aki Paper Pack, birds from Felt Board Friends and Chalk Talk Kit.

I was delighted that Julie DeGuia chose to use the 3 challenge kits to design her team page for the Creative Team Gallery. We get to see it here first! Julie’s page reminds us that we can effectively use parts of a kit for a unique look as she has done with the ribbons from the Photo Keeper Kit. Julie’s additional products include Betty Paper Pack, Alandia Brushes and Stamps and Worn Strips No. 02.

Anke Turko (aka Anke) brilliantly combined the ribbon photo keeper with Katie’s file folder template. Notice how she deftly tucked photos and alphas from the Jewels Alphas under the photo keeper ribbons. Anke’s additional products include Filed Layered Template No. 01 and Cut Ups: Everyday.

This week we’re pulling inspiration from Katrina’s fun layout on the September 22nd page of the Daily Dose of Digital 2009 Calendar. Isn’t it fun? I just love how those fun colors pop off the black background. So your mission this week is to use bright colors on a dark background to create yummy contrast and high drama.
