This is the last JMT before Christmas and so I thought we’d take one last chance to embrace the season! Yes; dust off your old {and often cheesy!} Christmas fonts and put them to good use!
JMT 43-
Ho ho ho! Merry Just My Type Christmas! Use a festive font or two…
Waaaaaay back when you and I first discovered fonts the ones that we most likely started with were, you know, totally over the top! They were quirky shapes and funny outlines and we thought they rocked! They mostly didn’t – LOL- but now and then you can indeed get away with something like these. …
Snow crusted, snow filled, try using these for a title – remember you can tone down the effect and use just one at the start of your title or journaling if you like.
Almonte-snow, Snow cups, Snowfall, Snowflakeand Frosty.
Theres also quite a few Old time Christmas script fonts out there which are rather nice– Santas sleigh, Santa’s Big secret, and Noel.
And this one that’s filed under Christmas but good enough for any time I think! Monbijoux.
There are ones with Hats - Bonnet, and holly - Holleigh.
Inspired yet?
Heres my sample page, using two of the above – see you can get away with it!
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the JMT gallery this week, and - a very Merry Christmas to you!

I just could not resist this wonderful page by the very talented Applechick (aka Fiona):
It’s one of those pages that just instantly catches your eye - and the beauty of it is, the more you look at it, the better it gets. I love the subtle retro feel from the slightly destaturated photos and the way they are assymetrically cropped. So many cute details scattered through the layout - yet it is all pulled together by the stitching, the colors and the overlapping papers and photos.
I know that a few people have already been unable to lift Fiona’s page! But hopefully more of you will be inspired this week (and post in the Saturday Scraplift gallery for us to share).
Take a look at what Erin, Maureen and Merr came up with:

It is so heartwarming to see all of the wonderful Christmas pages in the gallery, and to read about the families, the traditions, the decorations, and the love that this season brings out in each of us.
I have enjoyed looking over so many of your pages, and hope that you may find time to create just one more page with the products from today’s 3Kits 3Ways challenge on the Designer Digitals Blog.
Jess {jesshunt}, Debbie {DebbieHodge}, and I {readstoomuch} have created three layouts using three kits in three different ways. Remember that you can use any product from the DD store in addition to the three kits from today’s challenge for your page.
Jess has used a Santa photograph of her adorable little boy photo from last Christmas on her page. I love the vivid look that Jess has achieved by using a row of Pattie’s Christmas tree balls across the bottom of the page, and the journaling looks wonderful shaped around the Santa element. Jess uses Doodle Do Frames as her only extra element in “Graham Meets Santa”.
Debbie always delights me with her fabulous titlework, and this page is no exception. I love her “Santa Lights Up Durham” page. The extras Debbie used are: Holiday Sophistication Brushes-n-Stamps No. 03 , Felt Board Friends: Polar Escape , Aged Alphabet , Worn Photo Edges , Stitched by Anna No. 2 , and Sketchy MultiFoto Frames No. 01 .
My page titled “Christmas Morning 1971” uses one of my favorite “old” Christmas photographs; and like Debbie, I used several extras: 12 x 12 Painted Edge Overlays No. 02 , Mega Tag Pack , Stitched by Anna No. 01 , and Twilled Dates.
The first kit is Lynn Grieveson’s Cracked Alphabet No. 01. I love this red alpha of Lynn’s! It is so perfect for Christmas pages.
Next is, Trim the Tree: Ornaments from our “Queen of Felt”, Pattie Knox.
For the paper, I have chosen Katie’s versitle Krafty Christmas Paper Pack.
I hope that you will enjoy working with these kits as much as we have. Merrilee and I look forward to seeing your pages posted in the 3Kits 3Ways Gallery.

I’m sitting in for Lynn this weekend! So I got the fun of picking a layout from so many amazing layouts! I loved this one by krjd1985.
I love the clean lines with the great color pop! Her elements each are perfectly selected to highlight the sweet photo. And did you notice the classic visual triangle? The hint of red at the edges finishes this page beautifully! The more I look at this page, the more I really noticed how much my eye just goes exactly to the focal point! So well done!
I love how Melanie, Stacy, and Debi were inspired this week. I hope you are inspired too!
